Grad Ashton Michael Designed Machine Gun Kelly's AMA Awards Look

FIDM Fashion Design Grad Ashton Michael designed a custom white harness jumpsuit covered in neon-pink straps for Machine Gun Kelly's debut performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday night. The awards show was broadcasted live on ABC from The Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, just steps away from FIDM's campus.

Kelly performed a pop-punk medley of songs from his latest album, Tickets to My Downfall, with Travis Barker making a guest appearance on the drums. The 2020 AMAs also featured appearances by Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and BTS, who closed out the evening.

“Loved being back working with you dude!” wrote Michael, who has also designed for Beyonce, Megan Thee Stallion, Kourtney Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, and Ellie Goulding, among many others, on Instagram. “So stoked to be part of this night and making magic with you again.”
